It’s not about reaching heaven, but rather not descending into hell.

This realization really meant a switch for me. I used to think that no fap (or no alcohol, no addiction) would give me all the pleasant feelings and my problems would be solved. You never really rationally think you believe this, but you have a tendency to kinda believe that inside. Once you realize its more about just simply not ruining your life, it can be a bit underwhelming realization, but it makes it all the more clear. It’s about not ruining your life. Thats it. Its that simple. Negative motivation is useful. Be afraid. Be very afraid of becoming a wreck. It has worked for me so far.
