i may have relapsed or almost relapsed

I realize I had a typo “between a lapse and a relapse” but I agree with Christian - leaving room for error will more than likely lead to slow progress.

So if I lapse I’m going to reset

The way I’m treating a relapse in this app is a lapse or what I’m used to calling a slip. I feel like if I stick to the actually definition of relapse I’m going to make excuses and let myself lapse every now and then.

I did some research and think knowing the difference between these terms may help: The Difference Between A Lapse And A A lapse is a temporary deviation from sobriety, whereas a relapse is a return to the patterns of addiction that the individual worked so hard to overcome. So while many of us lapse in these cases where we are tempted to repeat our negative behavior, a true relapse is intentionally looking up or engaging content and finishing, triggering the brain chemicals and feelings of post nut. This is not an expert take just someone who was also curious about the lines

What really counts as a relapse then? like idk. I’ve been at it for a week and this is the first time I’ve had a huge urge after seeing that’s one picture but I didn’t do anything and closed it straight away. Anyway I’d just like some clarity around what a relapse really is? Thanks
