Battle Buddies: Day 21
Oh goodness, let’s air it out. A month ago, the ex that still weighs heavy on my heart, reached out wanting to find peace with everything. We had a rough breakup, I started pursuing a gal within two weeks after we called it quits. This was not honoring towards my ex and it was not good for me because I never dealt with the grief. My ex was sent into a spiral when she found out about me moving on so quickly, her family treated me with disdain at church (rightfully so), and some bridges were burned. I did a real awesome job at keeping the peace and unity (sarcasm). Recently, the gal I started pursuing after the breakup parted ways with me. I have been seeking God in everything and now I am faced with the ex that I did wrong. We had a lengthy conversation on the phone, and feelings for each other were expressed. We are set to meet tomorrow to find forgiveness in one another. Brothers, I need your prayers. Ever since her and I talked on the phone, I think about her all the time. This season is for God and for building a firm foundation in Christ, I cannot have my feelings tangled up. No distractions. I still love her dearly and I know that God will bring her back again if it is His will when I’m finally ready and equipped to be the man I am supposed to be. Praise God for her kind and loving spirit, for forming her into a true daughter of God. God thank you for allowing us to love. God we praise you for giving us discernment. Brothers in Christ Michael, Cameron, and Jan: Today was kind of tough, it seems I am not the only one. The Lord can be our strength if we abide in Him, surrender it all. I look forward to the day when I can see you men in heaven and we rejoice over this battle that we overcame together with God’s helping hand. There is so much more to life than simple lusts, God is ready to show you if you are willing. When the chains of sin are broken, you love deeper, care tenderly, admire God’s creation in a whole new lens, and your integrity grows. You radiate light that people gravitate towards, think about those people that really embody Christ that you look up to, only because you are choosing to glorify God in this life. Do nothing out of selfish gain, this battle is to bring honor to God in hopes that it may draw others closer to Him as well. I love you, brothers! Grace and peace be with you.
Amen, Brother! You have done so much on this journey, and I'm glad you have the opportunity to reconcile with your ex. Whatever happens between the two of you, I pray that you both come out stronger than ever before. God has a plan for all of us, and the journey to heal your body and soul is definitely part of it.
