Sin of Lust

Day 1

I have a question now for my fellow siblings in christ: When you masturbate and give into the sin of lust and temptation do you ever notice your life slowly getting worse? At first I thought this was post nut clarity and me guilting myself but I have realized a change of perspective when I am following jesus and not masturbating v.s when I am not. I am only a teenage boy and masturbation has been normalized by my peers so I never thought anything of it. Could someone older give me advice, preferably a Christian. If it is just guilt or not?

As we journey through life, we're faced with choices that can either bring us closer to God or lead us further away from Him.

Romans 7:15 7 "For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I." We've all been there - struggling with sin and feeling like we're stuck in a cycle of defeat. But what happens when we willfully choose to sin, despite knowing it's wrong? 1John 1:9 7 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." God is always ready to forgive us and restore us to a right relationship with Him. But what about when we willfull sin. despite knowing the truth? Hebrews 10:26 "For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins." When we willfully sin, we're essentially rejecting God's offer of forgiveness and redemption. We're saying, "I know what you want for me, God, but I'm going to do my own thing anyway." Ephesians 4:30 7 "And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption." When we willfully sin, we're not only rejecting God's forgiveness, but we're also grieving the Holy Spirit and quenching His work in our lives. 1 Peter 5:8 7 "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, The enemy is always on the lookout for ways to attack us and lead us astray. When we willfully sin, we're giving him an open door to do just that. Ephesians 4:27 7 "Neither give place to the devil." We need to be careful not to give the enemy a foothold in our lives. When we willfully sin, we're essentially giving him permission to come in and wreak havoc. 2 Corinthians 2:11 "Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices." We need to be aware of the enemy's tactics and not let him get the upper hand. When we willfully sin, we're playing right into his hands. Matthew 12:43-45 7 "When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first." When we willfully sin, we can create an opening for evil spirits to enter our lives. And if we're not careful, our situation can become even worse than it was before. Luke 11:24-26 "When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest; and finding none, he saith, I will return unto my house whence I came out. And when he cometh, he findeth it swept and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh to him seven other spirits more wicked than himself; and they enter in, and dwell there: and the last state of that man worse than the first." The consequences of willful sin are real, friends. Let's be careful not to give the enemy a foothold in our lives. Instead, let's choose to follow God's plan and live a life that honors

Not necessarily guilt but the conviction of the Holy Spirit,it is a good thing for a loving father corrects his children. I’m 29 and was stuck in the cycle for a long time before I even realized it was a problem. I’m proud you started your fight this early to honor the Lord keep going and keep fighting.

It messes with hormones, your brain, and emotions, so life can be the same yet feel worse, I have been in the same boat, it’s guilt and much more down the road. Trust in God, and yourself.

Sin causes more sin, yes, brother my life gets worse and times that I fall to my fleshly desires, instead of calling on the powerful name of Jesus.
