Doom Scrolling Ruined My Week Streak - Pushing Higher Now
I make this post not to ask for help, but to provide it. Anybody who is struggling, who wants change, but just can’t seem to stay consistent, I have wise words for you. I’m 99% sure if this is you, that you watch a lot of TikTok, Reels, or Shorts. Stop it. Invoke limits. Keep it at an hour a day, and only in semi-public environments so you aren’t tempted. Don’t let yourself take the doom scrolling to a private bedroom, that’s what will tempt you to watch porn. Besides helping with porn, there are many benefits to spending less time scrolling. 1. Dopamine reset. I PROMISE- any addiction, drugs, alcohol, porn is fueled by scrolling. Scrolling on social media is like pouring gasoline on a fire. Why? YOU FEED YOUR MIND WITH 3 SECOND CLIPS THAT GIVES DOPAMINE EQUIVALENT TO SMOKING NICOTINE. STOP IT. Stop scrolling. It’s not worth it. Gasoline on a fire. Is that worth it to you? If your answer is still yes, then try and tell me the last 5 videos you scrolled on and watched. I doubt even if it was 2 minutes ago, you couldn’t get it correct. Let’s get our lives together for goodness sake. I’m tired of seeing losses here people, we can do better. I’m speaking for myself here as well. We got this.
