A lot of times when I was tempted to masturbate and watch porn I would realize and be aware of the temptation but I was not fleeing from it nor was I combatting it with scripture. I say combatting as in reminding myself that masturbation and porn is a sin, the only sin against your own body as well. But every time I was tempted I would remind myself of this scripture and it’s helped a lot, especially reminding myself to flee from sexual sin, as in: transmute the energy elsewhere, go to the gym, go outside and walk around, distract yourself with Christ worthy things. This is the scripture that’s helped me, I hope it can be a help in your journey as well. 1 Corinthians 6:18 “Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body.” I truly hope this helps you all. It’s been a scripture I lean on in times of sexual temptation. Also wanted to mention the longer you go the better you feel and the more confident you get in your journey. Lust is definitely not an easy to sin let go of, at least it wasn’t for me but where I’m at I am confident that I can keep going. May you all have a blessed day!
