HOW CAN A YOUNG MAN KEEP HIS WAY PURE?

There have been countless times that I’ve said never again, and I inevitably end up back in the porn trenches. For the past 18 years I’ve porn every single year, and I’ve been a believer for 8 years, But something in my Christian walk has recently clicked by Gods grace. And that is that, the Christian life will be hard. Jesus Himself said in Matthew 16:24 “Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me.” So if Christians are to take up their crosses, and the cross is a symbol of suffering, that means that to live a life of holiness , suffering is to be expected. Suffering can include saying no to watching porn when everything in our body wants to, that’s resisting the devil, that’s denying the flesh. But we don’t just dwell on the suffering, we look to Christ for peace, strength and grace to press on. Psalm 119:9-11 “How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word. With my whole heart I seek you; let me not wander from your commandments! I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.”
