Can an admin pin this or everyone upvote this so we can get this sorted? Look wet dreams (nocturnal admissions) don’t count because you WILL have them at some point. It doesn’t matter what happens, they’re gonna happen (it depends on you and your genetics for the frequency). So stop worrying and psyching yourself out, you’re okay brother. Now as for “does masturbation/ edging count?” That’s up to you, your religious/spiritual /philosophical beliefs, and your personal goals. However there is some objectivity to clear it up. FOR CHRISTIANS: In Christians theology, masturbation or edging are sinful. So yes, this act would count as a relapse. FOR MUSLIMS: In Islamic thought, masturbation or edging are consider haram. So yes, this act would count as a relapse. FOR HINDUS/BUDDHIST: This is up to you as this is extremely debated. There is no such this as sin or haram within this eastern thought. However, some sects look down upon masturbation or edging as a lack of discipline (a crucial element of the journey towards nirvana or fulfillment of the abolishment of the self. FOOD FOR THOUGHT: I think many of us look down upon masturbation and edging, those who encourage it, and/or those who don’t find it as a relapse. The truth of the matter is that semen retention is truly an act of discipline for many of us. Personally I want to be the kind of man who only evacuates during sex or wet dreams. In my eyes that’s a man of excellence and the kind of man I’d like to be. Another thought, I would say no one feels particularly proud of themselves after masturbation or edging. So look at yourself with self awareness. Journal a bit and have some time for self reflection. What do you think and feel? Does it count? Do you want it to count? Think of the kind of man you’d like to be. AND BE HONEST WITH YOURSELF. THE ONLY PEROSN YOUR HURTING BY LYING TO YOURSELF IS YOU. Aim for excellence boys, don’t settle for anything less than that.
