Bible and Prayer for the day!

I woke up today feeling kind of gross. I had a dream where I couldn’t stop myself from having sex and it was derailing my life. Praise God that 1) None of that happened! 2) He gave me this verse to remember that seeking Him affects my struggles with purity. Calling insight an intimate friend is greater than earthly intimacies. May the Lord be mine and your most intimate friend in this fight against sin. “My son, keep my words and treasure up my commandments with you; keep my commandments and live; keep my teaching as the apple of your eye; bind them on your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart. Say to wisdom, ‘You are my sister,’ and call insight your intimate friend, to keep you from the forbidden woman, from the adulteress with her smooth words.” (Proverbs 7:1-4 ESV) God I pray that You would help my heart and the hearts of those who read this to remember to seek You first. You are a greater friend than any, and in your strength victory isn’t possible- it’s inevitable. May we go before you to abate sin, when we sin, and be quick to reconcile with You after. But please help us to seek you so fervently that we do not hurt our purity. You, God have all insight, so may we seek you first and foremost. Amen.
