First, I want you to remember the key strength of quitting porn, hentai, whatever it may be, is patience. The more pressure you put on yourself to continue a streak, the harder you make it for yourself. Don’t see it as a streak; see it as a journey. If you relapse, it’s not the end of the world. Others just give up there. But not you. The fact that you identified the problem already puts you ahead of 99% of the general population, who thinks this behaviour is harmless and normalized. Even if you go two months, and for whatever reason, relapse, you went two months not doing that. And the more you abstain consistently, the less you’ll notice you go back. I cannot tell you how good it feels to fight off an urge, or even stop yourself if you do happen to start going down back the path of taking a peak. The feeling of overcoming that urge gives you an amazing feeling of confidence and healing. What I am saying is: treat yourself with respect and understanding. Rid that shame and guilt, that is just brainwashing. Don’t find someone or something to blame, as easy as it is to do. That feeling of resentment will just grow and cloud your vision, and the path will never be clear. Just focus on growing out of this maladaptive habit. It will lessen and eventually leave in time. God said it’s okay to fall, what matters is picking yourself back up, and getting back on that horse and riding back down the path of strength and resilience that you are fully capable of. You have nothing to lose, and so much to gain. I believe in you. And since you are reading this, I know you believe in yourself too, even if for some, it may not feel like that right at this moment. You can do this.
