Please, hear my heart. This journey is not about how long or short your streak is, how many times you have relapsed or how many times you chose to start over. This struggle is an invitation to go deeper into your personal healing story. To look at what got you where you are today. We go to pornography because of our wounds. We look for oxytocin but pornography and masturbation can not give us oxytocin, the love-hormone, but it can only give us dopamine. We go to pornography because of a love deficit. And because of other reasons, here are 4 of the main ones: 1. Meaninglessness 2. Shame 3. Anger 4. Pain Please, let us stop looking for a quick fix. This is way deeper than most realize. It is an invitation to do the deep healing work that is required in order to live the fulfilling life we desire to live. And one thing is for sure: guilt, pressure, shame and condemnation are not going to replace that work and they are not going to allow us to be free for very long periods. Be blessed my friends, I hope you hear what I am saying - and what I am not saying. Starting over is good. Counting days is not bad. Celebrating victories is good. But let’s not leave it there but let’s go deeper, for this journey asks for that. Kindness to you
