I think that’s a relapse because you’re still engaging in the dopamine craving behavior. Reserve that for real sex and not masturbation. Why do you feel the need to get off to pixels on a screen (even if they are your gf) than delay that instant gratification for the real thing? Trust me, this is part of requiring the brain. It wants to masturbate to images because it’s still wired that way to get the dopamine. Resist the urge to do this bro.
what are your goals? This is about what you want so you have to decide. Just make sure you aren’t making excuses.
Don’t stress man, it’s a much much better alternative to porn. The dopamine response to pictures is a lot less than video with audio. It’s also more personal and a very realistic expectation for you. I realise I’m probably in the minority on this app but I don’t see masturbation as bad unless you are a slave to it. If you are in control it can be quite healthy. After 2 weeks of abstaining there aren’t many hormonal benefits etc. only arguably psychological. Trying to get away from masturbating to a picture of a girl you have a real connection with in life is a much stronger position than trying to get away from unrealistic made up exaggerated pornography with no connection to your life whatsoever. Whether or not you count it as a relapse is dependent on what your goal is. If it’s mainly to get away from fantasy and overstimulation I don’t think it’s totally unhealthy. Don’t let people’s negativity get you down. Some of the guys on here, there coping mechanism is to demonise as it’s the only way for them to stay away from it. Remember, the goal of this isn’t to make yourself miserable. Keep it up!
