This app has been really useful when I have urges as long as when it opens I read and react to the words it displays. Take a breath, pause, reflect. If you hit the panic button, feel the haptic in your hands, return to the present, read the words, and respond. It's hard, and I might slip today or tomorrow, nobody is perfect. But it's our willpower that we need to strengthen. And that only grows by exercise, the app can't give it to you.
