Exodus
Maybe it’s time to admit smartphones were a bad idea. Humans weren’t made to have this much access to information and connection. I think we are now seeing the fallout of this conscience choice we made to allow ourselves to be devoured by our own lusts. Humans always want more. I think in the end we got more than we bargained for. Steve Jobs knew what he was doing when he chose the apple logo with a bite in it. Just like in the garden we were promised everything only to lose ourselves and the God who loves us. It’s time to leave Egypt. And head to the promised land. It’s time to put the idols down and worship the God of the mountain. Jehovah. I think too many people want to stay in egypt and in slavery, because it feels safe not knowing that destruction is a head. I pray Lord I leave all technology especially this phone at the altar. Help me Lord, put distraction away and to choose you. I want you Lord Jesus and nothing else. Amen
I bought a flip phone from mint mobile a year ago. It’s one of the heavy duty ones for like $70. Praying God helps me to finally make the decision to switch. It’s hard. But I often think how much better I had it when I didn’t have a smartphone and how we survived thousands of years without this technology.
