As someone who tricked themselves into believing edging didn’t count I can definitely say it does. It’s like being an alcoholic but you only have one or two drinks and because you’re not wasted you think it’s sobriety.
Yeah I agree even watching anything even soft core porn like instagram can develop urges
Anything outside of that is relaps
Just make it a mission to not touch your dick and start there
Also after you learn about what edging is u must then resist it but if u go back to it then that should count as a relapse, I think at first you might not know what ur doing its like ur in the passengers seat and your brain is thr one driving and taking a different route thats close to the one ur working to avoid but just far enough where it seems ok enough but it still has issues so when u then regain control and go back to the safe longer road its your job to stay away from that new road u just found as well, when ur brain/urges asks u to hop in that passengers seat again u tell it to STFU
I don’t consider it relapsing especially if ur not fapping ur just watching but it is a bad thing and should be resisted - it’s like your brain coming up with a substitution for something that may seem less bad but still holds u back in the long run. Edging doesn’t just have to be watching porn but can also be viewing certain things on social media too. I’ve had helpful positive responses from people about this problem which was a great help to me as well
Yes
Yes, it does. Edging actually makes addiction worse, because you're still touching yourself for one. It also makes it so you have to cosume more porn since your body is building resistance to ejaculation.
That’s a good point but I think in this case the benefit of the doubt should be given for the first time - once u learn something then it’s your responsibility to uphold that new standard.
