The harder I try to not relapse more I relapse. The closer I try to get with Christ and i have a good couple days and then I fall away even harder

I just relapsed, but I learned something. Whenever I get the temptation, and I give in, it shows that I love my lust over God. I am going to try a new approach to quitting. It is changing the perspective from trying not to quit, to I love and trust God with my life and the result of quitting will be a side effect of my genuine love for God and keeping his commandments
