But I also understand that I am not a man so I can’t speak to what it feels like to not masturbate because I know that is painful, and I don’t know how to address that situation but I will say as a woman who also struggles, I could think of a man too or any kind of sexual activity to get me aroused without watching anything. It’s all in our minds I believe and we have to take every thought captive and bring that to the Lord. We can’t always control what our minds think of but we can control how we respond to them.

As a female, I think they are both the same. What do you think of to get aroused? A woman, you can think of her without watching her through porn, both are bad and not what God calls us to as His sons and daughters. I think imagining it is just as bad as watching it, you can think of porn in anyway, there’s audio books, audio porn, you name it it’s everywhere and it makes it difficult but we have to keep fighting and asking God to change our desires that are more purifying to Him and honorable to Him! As a Christian, I believe we aren’t called to have sex with ourselves which is what masturbation is, it’s between a man and woman in marriage and is focused on love not just physical unrealistic pleasure from porn

Does it feel manly and noble to “play with yourself”? Listen to your conscience. Pray about it. Ask God for clarity in your heart. And as an experiment just chill on masturbation too and see how you feel.
