A woman online has nothing to offer me. To engage in porn is to live a lie. Be with people who love you and if no one loves you find someone to give love to, not sexually, but actual sacrificial love. I am trying to choose divine intimacy instead of performing artificial, virtual, voyeuristic self-abuse. Substitute whores online or in real life for the motherly spiritual discipline and nurturing of Mary. Jesus said to his mother, “mother behold your son” in reference to John, the only male disciple at the foot of the cross. When we spiritually put ourselves at the foot of the cross we become not only saved by Christ’s sacrifice, but we gain his mother. To look at porn is to make a cuck of yourself. Every time we desire a woman that isn’t ours we belittle ourselves. By disciplining our hearts and minds, by lifting them up in prayer to God, we can uninstall the bad programming. Remove the shame of masturbation. We can actually love woman and uphold their dignity. We need to pray for women who are letting themselves be filmed and photographed. We need to pray for forgiveness from them. We are abusing ourselves, but we are also dishonoring them when we use women in a way that is lustful and unholy. Women are supposed to be mothers when we sexualize them or give in to their temptations. We are feeding into an evil chain of reactions. Through prayer I am going to transcend and break this chain of reactions.
