Question about what is a relapse

So it’s been 2 weeks since I downloaded the app and I have not watched porn or masturbated once since then. It’s aided me a lot in shifting my mindset to that of truly being against porn and knowing others are in the fight too, rather than it feeling like an urge I have no choice but to succumb to. But there have been 3 or 4 times that certain videos on IG will pop up on my explore tab (u guys know the ones) where they’re clothed, there’s no porn or anything but it’s also definitely a video created to get you to stare at and is still the kind of video I’m working on looking away from and getting better at doing so. Would you guys consider letting your eyes linger on these videos a bit longer than you should a relapse? Just curious about different perspectives. I see it as a gateway to a relapse but not a full relapse.

It’s not a relapse but instead of indulging and looking… Rather hit ‘not interested’ or block there account. There is no point in risking your streak to freedom.

Everything is up to how you feel but to give you my opinion- your eyes lingering at stuff on IG is just the affects that porn has on your brain, there’s habits of lust and desire still so I don’t consider it relapsing. I am just very conscious of not allowing myself to linger long. My explore page used to be mostly explicit and I have just tried to stop clicking on the ones that you can tell from the thumbnail what they are, if you don’t click your algorithm will change. I also do click on anything having to do with sports, movies, anime, video games, literally anything else so my explore page will eventually never show me anything I would have to worry about lingering on. I’d say just keep being strong and be hyper aware of where your mind goes when you see certain things. You aren’t your thoughts, you’re the observer of your thoughts

For me if the video pops i skip it because they are fake, almost like porn and used to be a trigger of mine to watch porn, in my opinion if you use it as a substitute it will lead to the same issues. I do not know if people would agree

I don’t consider it a relapse, but it could definitely lead to one so try your best to look away fast, I’m working on that too because it has led me to relapsing multiple times
