Peeking

I just got QUITTR about a week ago and I’m on day 3. I relapsed about 2 days in because I allowed myself to peek. What are some tools yall use to avoid peeking and or edging to porn? Like some avoidance rituals I might be able to use to increase positive dopamine levels instead of making a slippery slope where I get the chemical reaction of watching sex stuff but without the release. Because obviously we’re not trying to quit just releasing but porn altogether so we can promote a healthy relationship with no sexual issues with our spouse or future spouse.

Try going against yourself with consequences. Be disciplined in the opposite direction. If you so happen to release, you don’t eat for 24 hours. Anything that makes you go through something uncomfortable. The same way you were punished as a child for negative things, do the same but what it would look like for an adult

Well, I just downloaded this app and it’s been awesome so far! What I would say is figure out your triggers. Instagram for me has been an issue, so be weary on the triggers that cause you to sleep. Not only that, reinforce them with something else. Helpful tip, removing something isn’t enough but replacing it with something beneficial is always necessary. Reading, working, gym, scripture are examples.
