I just don’t understand how I can’t contain myself. Off day from work doing nothing and scrolling and I see something on instagram and then I go to twitter unblock my censors and just go without thinking. I want to stop and I can’t.
I just don’t understand how I can’t contain myself. Off day from work doing nothing and scrolling and I see something on instagram and then I go to twitter unblock my censors and just go without thinking. I want to stop and I can’t.
It could be the hardest thing to come to terms with, but I know for a few people struggling with this same issue of unblocking their censors on apps. The thing that worked for most of them is deleting the app altogether, and if possible blocking your phone from redownloading that app, specifically social medias
Find something else to do on your day off. Read, gym, knit, find a hobby or skill to do something else. Idle hands
“See something on Instagram” That’s your trigger. All triggers need to be removed from your life. Personally, I’d say delete Instagram and like Daniel is saying, replace doomscrolling with a healthier hobby. If you’re not ready to take that step, then you must, you MUST change your algorithm. So every time “something” pops up on your feed, hit the 3 dots, and select “Not Interested” and block/unfollow every account that’s posting threatening content. Good luck.
