Battle Buddies: Actual Day 24
She is still on my mind, since our conversation I cannot evade it. I see her in everything. The amount of love that I have for this woman (even though I haven’t seen her in months) is mildly crippling. God is the only One who can get me through this, I continually pray in gratitude for her and that God has allowed me to love so deeply. I must stick to the 90 day commitment, God will bring her back if it His plan for us. I must trust in Him. MICHAEL, here is your personal challenge. Use your confidence to lift girls spirits up, make their day and expect nothing in return. However, now is not the time to date. If you get into a romantic relationship before you’ve walked this addiction out with God… you’ll land back into temptation. I caution you to not jump into anything too early. For myself, I’ve even been firm in not pursuing anything. When my ex and I departed from our conversation, she wanted to work things out but now is not the time. I do love her still, but now is not the time. It’s God’s time right now. Your future wife will thank you for working this out with God and not bringing in the wrecking ball of a porn addiction to the relationship. You’ve worked so hard and come so far with our Lord, keep chasing after Him. He will provide you a wife when the time is right. Don’t settle for anything less than God’s best. Brothers in Christ Michael, Cameron, and Jan: Seek first His kingdom, brothers. This life is but a vapor in comparison to eternity. The Lord is so gracious and loving when you abide in Him. He provides in ways that we could never imagine. “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,” Ephesians 3:20 NKJV
You're right, Robert. I must admit I was close to relapsing today until I went on this app and read your post. You are right; I'm not ready to approach women yet. Today was a hard Battle for some reason, but I know I can overcome this, and the only reason why is because of you guys. The Battle Buddies' loneliness is a tough thing, but the reward at the end of the tunnel is even better. I believe that you also made the right decision not to get back with your ex. It's better to work on ourselves first. Building character is the goal for all of us. Like all of us, I believe that the man you'll become on day 90 will be the man God has destined you to be. Thank you Lord for putting my path next to Robert’s path in this short life of ours. I pray that the Lord will continue to give us strength through this battle of ours so that we may fulfill the plans the Lord has instore for us. God bless you Robert.
