I was going strong for 10 days and yesterday i was gooing 4 times like an idiot. Just why can‘t i stop that gooing. Since i am 12/13 years old i am gooing and watching porn and now i am almost 24. since this year i am trying to stop it But My Record was 3 weeks without. I‘ve Never even got a month without gooing.
It might not seem important, but coming from someone who actively struggles with this, having more self-compassion for yourself is critical. If a friend came to you with this, you’d certainly be more supportive, no? These are deep rooted habits and behaviors and they are extremely challenging to overcome (as we all know). Relapse like this is never ideal but very common. Being so hard on ourselves every time we fail is a harmful mentality and is actually counterproductive imo. I’m proud of your 10 days and your dedication to improving, hang in there :)
Your problem is your seeing meaning in a “streak”. It’s not about how long you’ve gone without it, it’s about the progress you’ve made. You managed to go 10 days without porn, that’s amazing bro. You fought all urges for 10 days! That’s amazing. And now you stumbled, that’s just what makes you human. Get up and keep going as if it never happened.
