Relapsed twice.

Was on a 7 day streak, the urge came back wasn’t strong enough and relapsed. When I relapse (watched porn and jacked off) it’s a downward cycle, I go back for more, relapsed after a bit again. Going to take a shower to cleanse myself and hopefully restart the no porn no MB. Do any of y’all ever relapse and say “I give up” go you go crazy (relapse so many times)? Idk if that’s only my personality but it’s so annoying. I am happy that I survived 7 days and 11 hours just a little depressed that I succumbed to temptation. Alas, moving upwards and onwards!!

As someone who struggles with more than just one addiction, I understand exactly what you mean. I’ve struggled with porn and nicotine addiction for my entire adult life. I know it’s disheartening when you succumb to the temptation, but it’s important to forgive yourself. These things are designed to trap us in these patterns, but the fact that you’re fighting it should give you hope. It means you desire the life without this that is meant for you. The greatest people in history had moments of weakness. All that matters is that they didn’t let their story end when they were down. Whatever you do, forgive yourself and don’t stop getting back up.
